This is completely wrong and should not be adopted. That just raises prices for restaurants after they are already rising due to the cost of goods. So that hamburger & fries in a sit-down restaurant for $8.95 prior to COVID will become $12.95. If the NYC City Council does allow how are they going to monitor it? They are looking for more tax dollars since they will tax the surcharge so more money for the city. Not a way to assist struggling businesses re-open.
